Open source
DunneFlow is open source on GitHub under the MIT licence; how to get it, report issues and contribute.
DunneFlow is open source, on GitHub at github.com/aacloudguy/dunneflow. The current version is 0.2.0, a pre-release; its builds for macOS, Windows and Linux are on the releases page.
Licence#
DunneFlow is released under the MIT licence. The full text is in the repository's LICENSE file.
What is in the repository#
- The full source, which you can run with uv as described in Install from source.
- The user guide and tutorials these pages are based on.
- The test suite. It includes the check that fails if anything on the analysis path starts importing an HTTP client or a model SDK.
Reporting issues#
Report bugs and ask questions through GitHub issues on the DunneFlow repository. A good report includes:
- the DunneFlow version and your platform (macOS, Windows or Linux; application or source),
- the command you ran or the control you used,
- the exact text of any refusal or error, which is written to name what went wrong.
If DunneFlow reports something about your program that is really a limitation of DunneFlow,
that is worth reporting too. In the dashboard, press 3 on the finding to triage it as a
defect in the tool, and tell us which detector and what the code looked like. You do not
need to share your source: a small example that reproduces the finding is ideal.
Contributing#
Contributions are welcome as pull requests. The repository's own documentation describes how to set up a development environment, run the tests and linters, and what a change needs before it can be merged.
Teaching DunneFlow a new framework's registration idiom is normally a configuration edit in
src/dunneflow/detectors/*.yaml rather than a code change, which makes it a good first contribution.
