Who handles your payment

DunneNote and DunneWrite are sold through our online reseller, Paddle.com. Paddle is the Merchant of Record for every order: it takes the payment, charges any sales tax or VAT, sends your receipt and issues refunds. Your bank or card statement shows Paddle, not DunneCorp.

14-day refunds

You can ask for a full refund of any payment within 14 days of the date you were charged. That covers a one-time purchase, the first payment of a subscription and any later monthly renewal. You don't need to give a reason.

After 14 days we don't normally refund, but if something has gone wrong, such as a duplicate charge or a product that doesn't work on a platform we list as supported, write to us and we'll put it right. Nothing in this policy limits any right to a refund you have under the law where you live.

What a refund does to your licence

  • A refunded one-time purchase ends that licence. The app checks your key on your computer and can't tell, so please remove the key from it.
  • A refunded subscription payment cancels the subscription. The app's key stops renewing, and that month no longer counts toward the 6 paid months that make the product yours.
  • If a refund brings your paid months below 6 after your subscription has become yours, the ownership that payment completed ends too.

A refund never touches your own work. Your notebooks and stories stay on your computer and stay yours to open and edit (see section 2 of our terms).

How to ask for a refund

  • Use the link in your Paddle receipt email, or reply to it. Paddle's buyer support handles refunds directly.
  • Or write to us at support@dunnecorp.com with the email address you bought with, or open a ticket in the customer portal. We'll ask Paddle to issue it.

Refunds go back to the original payment method. Paddle usually processes them within a few days; your bank may take longer to show the money.

Cancelling a subscription

You can cancel a monthly subscription at any time with Manage subscription in your account, from the link in your Paddle receipt, or by asking us. It then stays active until the end of the month you have already paid for and isn't renewed. Cancelling doesn't refund the current month by itself; ask within 14 days of that charge if you want it back.

You don't need to cancel when a subscription becomes yours: at your 6th paid month we cancel it for you, so you aren't charged again.

Free and open-source software

DunneFlow and the DunneNote format library are free and open source. There is nothing to refund.
